“Retired Amateur Radio Operator Donates his Equipment to our Club”

Mr. George Morgan, call signs VE3JQW and VE3GM, has generously donated his radio equipment to the Almonte Club. Some of this will be retained by the club for members use and some will be sold to sustain the Almonte Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES). The ARES group of the Almonte Club has installed and operates a D-STAR that covers most of Lanark County in Ontario.

Mr. Morgan, a radio amateur for many years, joins our rank of enthusiasts who recognizes the value of amateur radio not only as a hobby but also as a service to the community. Thank you Mr. Morgan for your generous donation.
